A little inspiration...

Today, I recieved quite a bit of inspiration, but I guess that's the best part about Sundays huh? So, I felt inclined to share that with you on my this here blog, after I made it cuter. :)
We had Stake Conference, so they did a broadcast that Elder Russel M. Nielson presided over. Tad Callister (or something like that) gave a talk about marriage and ways to keep a happy marriage. I know I'm quite aways off from getting married (sorry dad, but it's not comin' that quickly!) but it was a bit of a reality check of how I am holding my future husband to a pretty high spiritual standard. But have I been living my life the way I'd want my husband to be living? Am I being the kind of spouse that I'd want to be? Being on my own, I kind of hit a bit of a block with all of my spirituality. I still have a testimony, of course, but I haven't necessarily been nourishing it like I should be. I read my scriptures, but more out of my faith that they will make me pass Biology-not because it is what I need to do for myself and it's a commandment. I pray, but it is out of habit and I don't necessarily spend the time to have a sincere conversation with my Father in Heaven. I go to church, but do I go out of habit and to see all of the cute boys in my ward? I don't always think before I say things, and I don't always act the way that I'd want my Savior to see. Don't get me wrong, I haven't been falling away from the church or anything like that, I've just been letting myself slip. Elder Nielson's talk was amazing, as always. He reminded me of how I have always wanted to be a recognizable disciple of Christ. Like the quote "Live your life so that those that do not know Jesus Christ want to get to know Him because they know you,"-I need to rededicate myself.
So, I am rededicating myself to live the life that I know I want to and need to live. I am rededicating myself to stand as a witness of God, and to be mindful of my example at all times. I am rededicating myself to be kind to others, at all times-both in front of and behind them. I am rededicating myself to remembering my true worth and to always keep in mind that I am my Father in Heaven's daughter, which is a divine privilege. I am rededicating myself to always put the Lord first, because I know that He will do that for me. All of these rededications, and I know that I can do it and it will only better me and how I feel about myself.
On a lighter note, my other rededication to train for my half marathon has been going pretty good! I am increasing my endurance, but that's all the bragging I can do because it's still not a very long time. But I absolutely love that I am running again! It just makes everyday so much better. This week, I have read my Biology book every spare minute that I have. I will pass this class if it kills me! A lot of old friendships were repaired, which is so refreshing and I love it! My roommates have also started to play Christmas music already, and I am ready to rip out my ears. I love Christmas time, but I hate when Christmas music is playing before Thanksgiving-Thanksgiving is totally overlooked!! Oh well, that's my frustrations.
Here's some pictures of what I've been up to. :)
Elliott Bliss, my pretend boyfriend, trying to fix our broken washer. It still is broken. :/
These would be Chris' friends... It all makes sense now, huh?
Mario Kart at 2 in the morning
I love my sista from Wayne County!!
I could write a novel about how much this girl means to me. She has gotten me through a few tough times, and we always have a good time (especially when we sleep talk to each other)
They were really freaked out by artichokes.
We cut hair. It's our day job.
 At the bonfire

This is Mary Bunker. I love her. And she's a midget, which makes me love her even more.

For an update....

It has been a while! I have been really busy with my classes, mostly just Biology. That class is definitely killing me, but I will survive! :) There have been lots of little funny incidences, but nothing too big. I am finally breaking out of my shy shell and I can talk to some people now. Uh.... My brain is a little blank now. This weekend was Homecoming, so Friday night was a pep rally bonfire, which was a blast! Saturday we had a football game (which we lost, but the U won so it's okay. :) ) and the rest of Saturday was just fairly mellow. We went hot tubbing, which was super nice since our hot tub has been broken. And today was just an amazing, relaxing, and uplifting Sunday. I love it!! :) There has been some drama in the apartment, but you can't really expect a drama free atmosphere when there are 6 girls living in one apartment. It's been a great year so far though. I got to have Jenny come visit, which was kind of a boring weekend but I loved having her here with me! I miss her a lot. And I am re-dedicating myself to train for the Bryce Canyon Half Marathon starting tomorrow-wish me luck!

I can't get my pictures to upload and I am super frustrated so... just check out my Facebook pictures. Grandma, call me if you need help logging in. :)

Update

So I haven't posted in like two weeks. Nothing too exciting has happened, I've just been super crazy with school! I took a Biology test last week, and it was just no bueno. But on a better note, I have done some fun things!
Last week, we had a huge pillow fight in the AC. I got hit in the head so many times my neck was stiff the next day (stupid boys).  I got to go to the University of Utah vs. Washington game with the Wardrops for my birthday. It wasn't the best game for my Utes, but it was super fun. :) I had a good weekend at home to come home and buckle down back to school. This past weekend was the BEST though! It was me, Dani, Mal, and Tess again and we had a blast. :) First, our heater went out in our apartment, it started  making noises and smoking so that was fun. Then we watched Dirty Dancing, for my first time. I love it! Then we went to a bonfire up on Budweiser Flatts (that's what it's called, not because of Budweiser beer). The bonfire was a blast! We met tons of new kids, some were a little wasted, but they were funny to watch. We did a Denny's run at like 1 in the morning, and that was kind of fun. There were really annoying kids there, so it wasn't good that we were all tired and grumpy. We got home at like 3:30 in the morning-crazy to believe that I stayed up past 10 I know! But it was good fun. :) Saturday, we went to the Snow game against Phoenix College, and killed them 38-7. I went from a winning high school to a winning college-great success. ;) Our TV is broken so I couldn't watch the University of Utah game, but watching it on KSL made it look like it wasn't a big deal, they weren't having a good game. But then we got ready and went to a dance at the GSC and holy crap that was fun!! I have not been that crazy in so long, and I just loved it. I worked my freaking butt off dancing, so I was grossly sweaty. But we made more friends and they came over Sunday for cookies and games! Sunday, we had a girl in our ward get up in Sacrament meeting and bash on all of the boys for not being worthy of giving priesthood blessings... It was a little awkward. Church was good. Then I came home and slept, of course. Woke up to make cookies and our apartment was FULL of boys! They all sat around and tried to help me and were watching me like a hawk so I would make the cookies. It was super fun though, this weekend was definitely a great success! Our neighbor, Tyrel or 'Trigger', comes over like every day and serenades us with his guitar. He is a real sweetheart-we love him! Him and Mitch are our favorite boys. :) Here's my pictures!
 Doing homework. Kind of.

Two of my favorite boys!
19 years ago yesterday I came to this earth. It was the best birthday I've had so far!! :) I absolutely loved every second of it. I wish I would've seen my family, but everything was just perfect besides that! I can't believe I am 19 now, I kind of had a little break down when I realized next year I'll be 20. :/ Time flies!
Just an update on what I've been up to... Last weekend I surprised my family by coming home and I absolutely loved it!! :) It was exactly what I needed! Other than that, I've just been studying my butt off and having a blast at college. :) My new favorite movie is Something Borrowed- I've watched it almost every day since Saturday. Aaaand, yeah! Now I have to go help Tess make some Pumpkin Waffles.

My very eventful week!!! :)

Friday, it was only me, Dani, Tess, and Mal in the apartment for the weekend! So we did a Denny's run. Down here in Ephraim, it is the thing to do to drive to Denny's in Salina at midnight. It was quite an adventure, but it was pouring rain so it was really intense. :)

I have now lived, on my own, in Ephraim for a month. The things I hate is that I am so far away from my family, I miss them like CRAZY! I get kind of bored in the small town, but now that we are making more friends, it will definitely get more exciting. :) I LOVE being on my own! I love my roommates, they are my best friends. I love only having to take care of myself and being selfish, it is the best thing ever! I love being in charge of my groceries and I am the only one that eats them. (mostly. ;) ) I LOVE the boys, they are so cute! Everyone is so friendly in small towns, not just Ephraim. There are dogs everywhere that I just love but they don't really love me. :(  Here are the great beauties of Ephraim.
1-There are not any mosquitoes in Ephraim! You can be outside at all hours of the day or night and not get bitten at all-it is quite a wonderful thing! There are bees and flies, but they don't leave annoying, itchy spots so it's a great compromise.
2-Riding horses on Main Street and any other road is normal. You have to yield to them actually. They are around all of the time.
3-The streets and roads are completely EMPTY and deserted on any given Saturday or Sunday, unless there is a football game.
4-When you go to cross the street, the cars yield to you. Sometimes you get random honks, but they always stop, no matter where you are.
5-There is a distinct turkey poo/cow poo smell between the hours of 9 am-11 am and again from around 4:30 pm-7 or 8 pm. You get used to it really fast.
6-There are these great things called Piccadillies here in Ephraim. They are my favorite ever, but I've only ever had them twice. I don't have any pictures of those things, but I do have pictures of the rest. Here's the virtual tour!
 The local ice-cream truck
 My apartment building
 Ephraim Canyon
The street we live off of
The local Chinese Restaurant. I have yet to eat here still.
The hotel on the south end of Eprhaim
 Our local market, Kent's
 The bowling ally and McDonalds
 The local car dealership/automotive repair
That would be Roy's pizza-the place to hang out
Where they do Country Swing Dancing, every Wednesday night!
The old elementary, where everything goes down
The Snow White house I'm in LOVE with!
My future house, with the white picket fence
The road to go up Ephraim Canyon
The house with the tub in their yard
Our football field, that has no lights
The home of the cute old man with his cute fat dog that I love!
 The SWEET pirate ship house
 Our church
The performing arts building, that I never go in. But I love this building!
My college, the same size as my high school
 Ephraim City Post Office
 The Ephraim Co-Op place
The one and only Malt Shop! With the piccadillies
The creepiest motel in the world, just sayin'
Sears. It's very large.
We do have a Little Caesars in Ephraim
The cemetery. In San Pete county, they do EVERYTHING in the cemeteries! Anything from burrying people, to soccer games, to helicopter rides, to parking lots.
The liquor store
This is my small town that I love so much! But now I need to go to bed so...
